FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much do Amarok shocks cost?
The price of one pair of Amarok shock absorbers ranges from approx. $360 to $950.
The total cost varies depending on whether you'd like to add or replace front/rear shocks or both.
Which brands of shock absorbers are available for Amarok?
We currently offer front and rear shocks for Volkswagen Amarok models from industry-leading brands such as Tough Dog, Bilstein and Koni.
Why do Amarok shocks use a 'fork style' lower mount?
The Amarok front strut is unlike most other 4wd's as they have a 'Fork or Clevis Fork' type mounting. The reason for this is that the CV Shaft runs through the middle rather than positioned to the front or to the rear. For this reason the maximum raised height is only around 20-30mm.
How to change shocks on an Amarok?
Installing suspension parts should always be completed by a qualified person or at a licensed workshop.
Once the installation is complete, a wheel alignment is required.
If you choose to install the parts yourself we strongly recommend taking the vehicle to a suspension workshop for a check-over. Most workshops offer free or inexpensive inspections. Better to be safe than sorry!
Step-by-step instructions are not included with all parts and only basic instructions are included where required. You can also refer to the vehicle owner's manual if required.
